how to grow coriander in pot

Coriander  is an important herb used  to cook . this herb is quite cheap but it will be  good if u get it free of cost .  so here are few tips to grow Coriander  at home .

Just put some seeds of  coriander   filled with potting soil . Potting soil could be anything , you can simply collect  soil /dust from earth .   or mix it with compost etc.  once your pot is filled , just  put some  seeds and press them gently . Dig  them inside potting soil .

keep the potting soil wet  , water it after 2 or  3  days ,coriander  often don't need extra nutrients  and well water /ground water have enough nutrients    to support the plant. It often grow in cold season . so place the pot in sun light .  It takes around  a month to grow .

once  coriander  grows  you  can do  following thing with plant.

  • Pick some leaves from plant without pulling plant out .  New leaves  will  replace old  leaves  giving nice supply of coriander .
  • Wait until plant produce  seeds .
  • Pull plant  from   soil , use its  leaves  to cook and  place the remain in water bottle   to  regrow leaves . however you need to change  water twice  a week and keep water bottle in sunlight to  keep plant growing . Also you need to place plant in bottle with stems inside water and rest plant outside it .dont use this method if worried about growing plants in plastic  container .
